This Website
I had been thinking about building a personal website for almost two years. In May 2019 I acquired a cloud VM. After experimenting with it for two months I began building this website with Jekyll at a friend’s recommendation.
I already knew the ins and outs of HTML from earlier projects where I experimented with the EPUB 3 format, and I had learned Javascript as part of a COM S 309 project the prior semester. But my CSS was limited, and I had never heard of Liquid. Learning the Jekyll build system has been an interesting project, which is documented here.
